The Giants were formerly Grappenhall Giants who, despite a strong side on the pitch and winning the majority of their games last season, found themselves in difficulties at the end of the 2004-05 season. They approached Latchford Albion Unicorns for asistance and the Unicorns agreed to keep the team together and take over the administrative duties, effectively creating a second Under 12's side. They retain their own identity, wearing their Grappenhall kit but are now firmly part of the Latchford Albion Unicorns' family.
