John Hardiman

John Hardiman was another young Latchford Albion player who attracted the attention of the professional clubs. After performing as a squad member in the 1950 League winning side for the Albion he joined Swinton Lions.

Towards the end of the 1950-51 season, with not a great deal at stake, the Directors of Swinton decided to blood some new players among whom was John Hardiman. The recent recruit from Latchford Albion was a given a run at centre in place of Harry Welsh.
