Brian Harrap
One of Latchford's most popular and well-loved characters is long serving life member, Brian Harrop.
Brian was an Amateur International left winger and joined Latchford in 1959. He could have joined Widnes in 1964 but prefered to stay with his one and only club, Latchford Albion. He went on to be Lancashire and Great Britain's coach and went on the historic BARLA South Pacific Tour in 1978 to Papua New Guinea, Australia and New Zealand.
Latchford Albion players Jimmy Green (scrum half) and David Dykes (prop forward) also went on this tour and were a big success.
