WELCOME TO THE LATCHFORD ALBION WEBSITE - WHERE RUGBY LEAGUE BEGINS, DEVELOPS AND ENDURES

Allan Bishop

On 11th February 2004 we said goodbye to another former Latchford Albion player. Sixty-year old Allan Bishop died of heart failure.

Allan had lived in Warrington all his life and as well as playing for the Albion he also played bowls for the Brooklands and Grappenhall Ex-Serviceman's Club, where he was captain until ill health forced him to retire.

He was employed at Chadwick's paper mill, Thames Board and was a publican for Greenalls.

A funeral service was held on 20th Febraury at Walton. Our thoughts go out to his partner, Beryl Beck, his two daughters and extended family.
