Under 7's 2002-3

INTRODUCING THE UNDER SEVENS 2003
The newly formed Under Sevens will play their first-ever fixture on Sunday, 2nd February 2003. Where? At Wilderspool Stadium prior to the Wolves game!

We have asked for prospective coaches to help out and we're happy to announce that two have come forward to ease John Wilkinson's headache. They are Ian Dobson and Mickey Byron. Ian's son Sam plays for the Under 7's while his elder boy Jay plays for our Under 12's. Mickey's son Connor and his nephew Bradley will be playing for the Under 7's, while Mike, of course, still has his Open Age duties to be performed so he has his work cut out. Back to top

Latchford played a very strong Leigh Miners side and put in a solid performance. Great offloading on three separate occasions by Kurt Whiteley resulted in two tries for Jesse Domic and another for Jake Upton. Harvey Livett also scored following a superb weaving run.

Unfortunately Latchford's defence let them down on a couple of occasions when they needed to be strong to keep them within touching distance of Leigh.
Cousins Bradley and Connor Byron had good games in defence while James Jones and Jason Murray produced excellent work rates without being able to affect the end result. Back to top
