Tackle Racism in Rugby League
As part of the "Tackle Racism in Rugby League" Campaign Latchford Albion Unicorns has formally adopted an Equal Opportunities Policy and committed itself to the BARLA Racial Equality Action Programme for Clubs.

BARLA and Latchford Albion Unicorns are committed to eradicating all forms of racial discrimination and racism, a committment that will enhance equality of opportunity in all aspects of the game. Racist language or behavipour has no part to play within Rugby League and, as a result, will not be tolerated. Anyone that engages in racist behaviour will be dealt with promptly through the relevant procedures. We must all be resposible for tackling racism and ensure that Rugby League is a game that can be enjoyed by everyone. Back to top

Club Committment
As part of the BARLA Racial Equality Action Programme for Clubs, Latchford Albion Unicorns is committed to:

1. Encouraging club members to report ALL racial incidents to the Racial Equality Club Representative

2. Acting upon any instances reported or otherwise of racism, discrimination, harassment or abuse brought to the attention of the club or any individual associated with the club and, where appropriate, deal with it under disciplinary or complainbts procedures of the club.

3. Developing links with a range of ethnic minority organisations and community groups.

4. Ensuring that all grounds and buildings used by the club are entirely free from racist graffiti.

5. Disseminating positive messages to the media regarding the club's adoption of the Equal Opportunities Policy and Racial Equality Action Programme.

6. Monitoring the number of racial incidents reported and forwarding details to BARLA via North West Counties and the Service Area Management Group. Back to top
