Parkside Golborne U10's - 38Latchford Albion U10's - 12
It was the first game back after a long break and the heat of the morning took its toll on both sides. The game was played with enthusiasm and the Latchford side became more organised as the match progressed. The speed of some of the Parkside's players was too much for them and they were allowed to take a big lead that the Albion found too great to catch. Both teams gave strong performances but Folly Lane found Latchford's defence tough to break down. The Albion played with enthusiasm and great team spirit. Latchford faced a tough opposition in St Cuthberts and, despite all the effort they put in, they could not break through their solid defence. Paul Coleman showed great determination in driving the ball forward early in the game and Jonathan Rigby gave all he had in defence. Joe Cooper was named Latchford's team player. Back to top

Portico U10's - 22Latchford Albion U10's - 6
Portico proved too strong for Latchford and gained a strong lead in the first half. Latchford were not downhearted and made good runs after the break. Ryan Farnan scored the Albion's only try five minutes from time. Nicholas Snelson had an impressive game in defence and Luke Bowden's positive attitude earned him the Team Player award. Back to top

A quirk of fate threw up the same opponents. The change of venue could not change Latchford's fortunes despite ample courage and determination and a ragged looking Portico team at the end. Nigel Hankey tried very hard in defence. Billy Martin repeatedly tried to break through the opposition. Team player award went to Tom Brady for his 'True Grit'. Back to top

Leigh Miners Rangers U10's - 28Latchford Albion U10's - 12
Lapses in concentration cost the latchford side this game. They started well and soon levelled the score after Leigh's early try, but they then let Leigh take a strong lead which proved too great to pull back.
Try scorers for Latchford were Ryan Farnan and Billy Martin. Gavin Bennion made some good tackles and Jonathan Rigby ran well. Shaun Rigby's all round effort earned him the team player award. Back to top

Latchford's tackling just wasn't strong enough for this powerful Leigh side who's pace and size proved too much for the home team.
Jack Fielding was given the defence award for a very brave performance in his debut game. Sam Coyle was good in attack and Nigel Hankey received the team player award for a good all round effort. Back to top

Latchford Albion U10's - 6Ince Rose Bridge U10's - 26
Latchford played with great enthusiasm but were unable to stop Rose Bridge from breaking through their defensive line several times.
Sam Coyle won the attacking award after scoring Albion's try and converting. Jake Hardman was rewarded for his efforts in defence and overall team player was Louis Hickson.
The following week the U10's held a 'Can You Kick It?' sponsored kicking competition and then went into their enforced winter break. Back to top

Two evenly matched South Warrington-based sides put in the effort you'd expect in a thrilling derby.
Latchford's points came courtesy of Sam Coyle and Tom Connor who both scored a try and a conversion.
The award for attacking play went to Luke Boden. Jonathan Rigby got the award for defensive play and Tom Connor (in his debut for the club) received the Team Player trophy. Back to top

An early lead was squandered through silly mistakes from Latchford?s defence. They continued to play with determination but were unable to close on West Bank once they had gone in front.

A great game in both attack and defence earned Andre Savelio the Team Player award, Joe Cooper had a strong attacking game and Lloyd Smith?s performance won him the defence trophy. Back to top

Both teams tried to play open rugby in what was a great game to watch. Latchford were just unable to hold off the stronger St. Jude?s side.
Billy Martin scored a hat trick of tries, while Shaun Rigby and Gavin Bennion also crossed the whitewash.
Obviously Billy Martin had a terrific attacking game but his tackling was so strong as well, particularly in the second half, and he got the award for defence. Gavin Bennion was on form and won the award for attacking play and to reward his great effort Shaun Rigby picked up the team player award. Back to top

This local derby game was played in great spirit by both sides. The teams both played with great determination and although Latchford came extremely close they were just unable to clinch the match. In very hot conditions, and with only 7 players available, each one of them made a mighty effort which they can be proud of.
Latchford played adventurous open rugby that saw Gavin Bennion score a hat trick. Ryan Farnan and Sam Coyle also scored tries.

Latchford Albion Unicorns U10's - 4Woolston Rovers U10's - 30
A lack of disciplined defence early in the game meant that Woolston were able to put Latchford under pressure. The Albion were unable to recover from this although they did demonstrate periods of strong attacking play. Ryan Farnan eventually made it over the line for a consolation try. This was Ryan's second try in less than 3 days. Back to top
